Cherkizovo stocks jump 50% on Moscow Exchange
MOSCOW, Mar 14 (PRIME) -- Low-liquid stocks of Russian meat producer Cherkizovo Group jumped 50% on the Moscow Exchange hitting an all-time high of 2,550 rubles ahead of a possible purchase of turkey producer Eurodon by the company, analysts said on Thursday.
The trade volume amounted to over 65 million rubles compared with an average daily volume of below 1 million rubles.
On Tuesday, a representative of VEB.RF said that consultants were finishing preparations for Eurodon’s due diligence. A source familiar with the talks said that Cherkizovo Group was showing interest in Eurodon.
